The Galapagos are a UNESCO natural world heritage site, the second largest marine reserve in the world (after GBR in Australia) and one of the seven underwater wonders of the world. The mixture of warm currents from Central Amirica and cool Humboldt current from Antarctica has produced an amazing variety of climates, flora and fauna. Charles Darwin visiting the islands was inspired to develop his revolutionary “Theory of Evolution”. Marine Iguanas (only found in Galapagos), Giant Turtles, Galapagos Penguins, sea lions and unique birds are permanent residents of Galapagos. What to see: If you want to dive with hundreds of hammerhead and Galapagos sharks, manta rays, sea lions, dolphins and absolutely fabulous Whale sharks that’s the best place to do it. It’s a blast! Best time to go: July - October
